Focus Awards Level 4 Combo Course

The Focus Awards Level 4 Combo Course has been designed for practitioners wishing to progress into advanced skin rejuvenation treatments. By combining both Skin Needling and Chemical Skin Peeling, learners gain the knowledge and practical competence required to safely deliver two of the most requested advanced aesthetic treatments available within the beauty and aesthetics industry.
Delivered through a flexible blended learning model, this programme combines online tutor-led theory, home study, portfolio completion, practical training and formal assessment. With full tutor support throughout, learners can study around existing work and personal commitments while achieving nationally recognised qualifications.
Skin needling works by creating controlled micro-injuries within the skin, stimulating the body’s natural wound healing response and encouraging collagen and elastin production. Chemical skin peels work by applying carefully selected acids to exfoliate the skin, increase epidermal cell turnover and improve overall skin health and appearance.
Together, these treatments are widely used to improve:

Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
- Hold a recognised Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification, or
- Successfully complete the Focus Awards Level 4 Award in Facial Anatomy & Physiology, or
- Demonstrate a minimum of two years’ practical experience in Skin Needling and/or Chemical Skin Peeling.

What should I wear?
Students should wear a professional tunic or all-black clothing when attending the practical training days.
Do I receive a kit?
No. A kit is not included with the course. However, all professional products, consumables and equipment required for training will be provided during the practical sessions.
Can I work professionally after completing the course?
Yes. Upon successful completion, learners will will achieve the Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Skin Needling Treatments and the Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Chemical Skin Peeling Treatments, both of which are Ofqual-regulated qualifications. Learners may then be eligible to obtain professional insurance and offer both treatments professionally, subject to their insurer's individual requirements.
Do I receive one qualification or two?
You will receive two separate Ofqual-regulated qualifications: Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Skin Needling Treatments and Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Chemical Skin Peeling Treatments.
What if I don't have a Level 3 Beauty qualification?
You may still be eligible to enrol if you have successfully completed the Focus Awards Level 4 Award in Facial Anatomy & Physiology or can demonstrate a minimum of two years' practical experience through the Recognition of Prior Learning process.
What if I can't find a model?
Learners are responsible for sourcing suitable models for the practical training days. We recommend asking friends or family or advertising through local Facebook community groups if required.
Can I film the course?
Yes. Students are welcome to record practical demonstrations for their own personal learning and revision purposes only.
How are the qualifications assessed?
Assessment consists of online learning, portfolio completion, practical assessments and theory assessments. Learners must successfully complete all assessment requirements to achieve both qualifications.
How long does the course take?
The course includes 2 practical training days, supported by online learning, home study, portfolio completion and assessments. Most learners complete the programme within approximately 6-12 weeks, depending on individual progress.
What if I change my mind or want to change courses?
All course bookings are non-refundable. However, a credit may be offered to transfer onto another course, subject to our terms and conditions.
