Russian Volume Lash Course
The Russian Volume Lash Course is advanced training for qualified classic lash technicians. It teaches you how to create lightweight, handmade fans and apply them safely to individual natural lashes.
This is not a beginner lash course. You must already understand classic lash isolation, adhesive control and extension placement before attending.
During the practical day, you will move beyond the one-extension-to-one-lash method used for classic sets. You will learn how to pick up several ultra-fine extensions and open them into an even fan.
The training covers 2D, 3D, 4D, 5D and 6D effects. Your tutor will explain how fan size, lash diameter and natural-lash strength must be considered together.
You will also learn how Russian volume techniques can be combined with classic extensions to create hybrid lash sets.
After successful completion, you will receive a Russian Volume Lash Extensions Diploma. The qualification is accredited and insurable, subject to holding the required classic lash qualification and arranging suitable professional insurance.
Creating Handmade Volume Fans
A Russian volume fan is made by arranging several fine extensions into one controlled unit. The fan is then attached to one suitable natural lash.
You will practise picking up multiple extensions without losing their shape. You will also learn how to create an even spread, a narrow base and balanced spacing between each extension.
The course focuses on handmade fans rather than relying only on pre-made volume products.
Russian Volume Effects Covered
- 2D lash fans
- 3D lash fans
- 4D lash fans
- 5D lash fans
- 6D lash fans
- Soft volume sets
- Fuller Russian volume sets
- Hybrid sets combining classic and volume lashes
Lash Weight and Natural-Lash Safety
Adding more extensions does not mean placing excessive weight on the natural lash.
You will learn how to select a suitable lash diameter and fan size based on the strength of each natural lash. Fine extensions must be used so the finished fan remains appropriate for the client.
Russian volume extensions require healthy natural lashes for attachment. Extensions cannot be applied where there is no suitable natural lash.
Fan Placement and Lash Direction
Correct placement affects retention, comfort and the appearance of the finished set.
You will practise attaching the fan with a secure base while keeping a safe distance from the eyelid. The fan should follow the planned direction and sit evenly beside the surrounding extensions.
Your tutor will also show you how to identify closed fans, crossed lashes, uneven direction and weak attachment points.
