Expert Brows Course

The Expert Brows Course teaches a six-stage brow treatment that combines shape, colour, hair removal and temporary brow enhancement.

The course is designed for complete beginners. You do not need previous experience in waxing, threading or tinting before attending.

You will begin by mapping the brows and planning a shape around the client’s natural growth and facial features. You will then use tinting, waxing, threading and trimming to refine the result.

The final stage covers eyebrow extensions. These may be used to improve the appearance of sparse areas and add temporary texture where natural brow hair is limited.

The theory is completed online before the practical training day. This allows the academy session to focus on tutor demonstrations, treatment practice and correction of your technique.

After successful completion, you will receive an Expert Brows Diploma. The course is accredited and insurable, subject to arranging suitable professional insurance.

The Six-Step Expert Brows Treatment

The course follows a structured six-step process:

  1. Brow mapping
  2. Advanced brow tinting
  3. Brow waxing
  4. Brow threading
  5. Brow trimming
  6. Eyebrow extensions

Each step has a specific role. Mapping plans the shape, tint adds definition, waxing removes larger areas of unwanted hair, and threading refines smaller sections.

Trimming controls longer hairs without removing them from the root. Eyebrow extensions may then be added to improve visible fullness in suitable areas.

Brow Mapping

Brow mapping is completed before any hair is removed or colour is applied.

You will learn how to identify the starting point, arch and end of each brow. You will also assess the thickness, natural hair growth and balance between both sides.

The aim is not to force both brows into an identical shape. Instead, you will learn how to create a balanced result that works with the client’s natural features.

Advanced Brow Tinting

The tinting stage adds colour and definition to the natural brow hairs.

You will learn how to choose a suitable shade, prepare the tint and apply it within the mapped shape.

The course also covers creating a softer effect at the front of the brow and stronger definition through the body and tail. This can help produce a more polished ombré-style finish.

Brow Waxing and Threading

Waxing and threading are used together to create a clean brow outline.

Waxing helps remove larger sections of unwanted hair around the mapped shape. Threading allows you to work more precisely around smaller areas and individual hairs.

You will learn how to support the skin, control each method and avoid removing hair that should remain within the final brow design.

Brow Trimming

Some brow hairs may extend beyond the planned shape without needing to be removed from the root.

You will learn how to brush the hairs into position and trim only the excess length. Careful trimming can create a neater result while protecting the natural density of the brows.

Eyebrow Extensions

Eyebrow extensions are used to create temporary definition in sparse areas.

You will learn how to assess where additional brow hairs may improve the finished result. The extensions must follow the direction, colour and pattern of the client’s natural brows.

The treatment is intended to enhance suitable gaps rather than replace the client’s entire natural brow.

Student Reviews

19 August 2026

The course gave me a much better routine for doing brows from start to finish. Mapping first, then tinting and hair removal in the right order made my work feel much more organised.

I used to overthink brow symmetry, so the advice about working with the client’s natural shape was really useful. It made the whole process feel much less rigid.

I really liked that the course wasn’t just focused on one brow treatment. By the end of the day I had practised shaping, threading, tinting and even eyebrow extensions, which was completely new to me.
