Ultimate Brow Tech Course Overview
The Ultimate Brow Tech Course is a three-day programme for students who want to specialise in professional eyebrow treatments.
Instead of focusing on one brow service, the course follows the full brow-design process. You will learn how to assess the client’s features, map the brows, remove unwanted hair, add colour, control the direction of the brow hairs and improve sparse areas.
The programme includes brow waxing, tinting, mapping, shaping, henna brows, brow lamination, threading and eyebrow extensions. These techniques are brought together within the Expert Brows treatment.
No previous beauty qualification is required. The course begins with the basic principles of brow design before progressing to more detailed treatments.
Practical training takes place over three days at our Glasgow and Aberdeen academies. Your tutor will demonstrate each treatment before you practise the techniques with guidance.
After successful completion, you will receive separate diplomas in Brow Lamination, Henna Brows and Expert Brows. The qualifications are accredited and insurable, subject to arranging suitable professional insurance.
Learning to Design Brows for Each Client
A professional brow treatment should begin with an assessment rather than immediate hair removal.
You will learn how to study the client’s natural brow growth, face shape and existing symmetry. This information helps you plan the shape before waxing, tinting or applying henna.
The course covers the main reference points used during brow mapping:
- The starting point of each brow
- The most suitable arch position
- The end point of the brow
- The thickness of the finished shape
- The balance between the left and right brows
You will also learn when natural differences should be softened rather than trying to make both brows look identical.
Brow Waxing, Threading and Shaping
Once the brow shape has been planned, you will learn how to remove unwanted hair with control.
The practical training covers brow waxing, threading and trimming. Each method is used for a different purpose within the finished treatment.
- Waxing removes larger areas of unwanted brow hair
- Threading helps refine smaller or more detailed areas
- Trimming controls longer hairs without removing them from the root
Your tutor will show you how to protect the client’s natural shape and avoid removing too much hair.
Professional Brow Tinting
Brow tinting can add definition to light or uneven brow hairs.
You will learn how to assess the client’s colouring and select a suitable tint shade. The training also covers product mixing, controlled application and processing.
Tint placement must support the mapped brow shape. You will practise creating a clean finish without leaving unwanted colour outside the planned area.
Henna Brow Styling
The Henna Brow module focuses on creating customised colour and a defined brow finish.
You will learn how to mix henna shades for different clients, including techniques for covering grey brow hairs.
The course also covers ombré application. This creates a softer effect at the front of the brow and greater definition through the body and tail.
You will practise:
- Preparing the brow area
- Selecting and mixing henna shades
- Following the mapped brow outline
- Creating clean upper and lower lines
- Developing an ombré colour effect
- Removing the product without disturbing the shape
- Providing suitable aftercare advice
Brow Lamination
Brow lamination changes the visible direction of the natural brow hairs.
The treatment can help downward-growing or uneven hairs sit in a fuller and more controlled position.
You will learn how to assess the hair before treatment, apply the lamination products and brush the brows into the planned shape.
The training covers product timing, hair direction, finishing and aftercare. It also explains how to avoid making the brows appear stiff or over-processed.
A Brow Lamination kit worth £110 is included with the course so you can continue practising after training.
Expert Brows Treatment
The Expert Brows module combines several techniques within one detailed brow service.
You will work through a six-step process involving:
- Brow mapping
- Advanced brow tinting
- Waxing
- Threading
- Trimming
- Eyebrow extensions
This process allows you to improve the shape, colour and visible density of the brows within one appointment.
Eyebrow Extensions
Eyebrow extensions may be used to add temporary definition to sparse areas.
You will learn how to assess where additional brow hairs are needed and place the extensions so they follow the direction of the natural brow.
The treatment must be adapted to the client’s existing brow shape. The aim is to create a balanced result rather than covering every gap in the same way.
