Facial Waxing Course

The Facial Waxing Course focuses on removing unwanted hair from the eyebrows, upper lip and chin.

Facial waxing requires careful product control because the treatment areas are small and the skin can be sensitive. You will learn how to apply the correct amount of wax, support the skin and remove hair without repeatedly waxing the same area.

The course also covers brow mapping. This helps you plan the eyebrow shape before removing any hair. You will learn how to work with the client’s natural brow growth rather than creating a shape that does not suit their features.

Your tutor will demonstrate each stage of the treatment before you practise on a model. The practical work covers preparation, wax application, removal and calming the skin after treatment.

No previous beauty qualification is required. After successful completion, you will receive a Facial Waxing Diploma. The course is accredited and insurable, subject to arranging suitable professional insurance.

Facial Areas Covered

  • Eyebrows
  • Upper lip
  • Chin
  • Other suitable areas of the lower face

Brow Mapping and Shaping

Brow mapping allows you to check the position of the brow before waxing begins.

You will learn how to assess the starting point, arch and end of each brow. You will also check the balance between both sides and identify areas where hair should be left in place.

The aim is to create a clean shape while protecting the client’s natural brow structure.

What You Will Learn

  • Client consultation
  • Checking the skin before treatment
  • Recognising contraindications
